Starting from 1987, it has led its way into a large success showcasing the richness in handicraft and handlooms; it is known to be the largest cultural and craft fest in the world. Continuing the tradition of all these years, this year the 33rd Surajkund International Craft Mela is being organized from 1st of February to 17th February 2020 in Faridabad, Haryana with the central theme being the state of Maharastra.

With more than 20 countries and almost all the states participating in the Mela there would be various performances including folk dance, open theater, dance and music performances, etc. The most amusing performances at the “two Chaupals” and “Natyashala” are like icing on the cake. It beams up the nightfall and would further add enjoyment and exhilaration on your mela excursion.

Roughly there would be around 400 craft huts and a multi-cuisine food court which you should definitely stopover at and enjoy the ethnic and traditional food items from around the world.  There are various places for amusement, adventure games like kayaking, adventure rides which is also a major factor for an attraction of young enthusiastic visitors.

Every year millions of visitors occupy this place to witness the affluent artisans, painters, potters, weavers and wood carvers who showcase their talents in the form of handlooms, sculptures, handicraft item, pottery work and weaving items and some show their skills in metal and wood work.

Surajkund International Craft Mela has a variety of tourists not just from all parts of India but from across the world. Faridabad lies only 35km from the national capital of Delhi. You can take a train from New Delhi railway station to Faridabad or can also take a metro from Kashmiri Gate- violet line towards Badarpur Border.

Timings and Entry Fees:

The Surajkund International Craft Mela is organized from 1st February 2019- 17th February 2020.  The standard timings of Mela are 10 am to 7 pm.

The entrance ticket cost Rs 120 on weekdays and Rs 180 on weekends.
