Passing through the Eastern Khasi Hills, this popular trek is a part of a 100 km trail and spans a distance of 16 kilometres that winds a trekker through mountains, valleys, forests and rivers. This trek is situated at an altitude of 4,892 ft, and passes through beautiful deep valleys offering mesmerizing views of River Umiam flowing alongside. David Scott Trail stretches between the two most famous Khasi villages, Mawphlang and Lad Mawphlang. Trekking here can be both fun and adventurous. 

4. The Bailey trail trek, Arunachal Pradesh

The Bailey trail trek traces the route taken by two British officers Lt. Col. F. M. Bailey and Capt. H. T. Morshead in Arunachal Pradesh Survey. The trek includes high altitude passes, glacial rivers, crystal clear lakes, Monpa tribal villages, picturesque valleys, breath-taking landscapes, and flora & fauna. And, the trek surpasses the maximum altitude of 15000 Ft at the grading of difficulty.

The trek starts from Bomdila and covers 57 km in 10 days. In this trek, you will be passing through a fascinating blend of terrains, landscapes, and orchards. You will also enjoy mesmerizing visuals of The peaks Gorichen, Kangto, Nyegyi, Kangsang, and Takpa Shiri.

5. Sandakphu Trek, West Bengal

Known as Wonderland for the trekkers, Sandakphu is located in the northwest of Darjeeling hill town. The trek offers visuals of many peaks including four of the five highest peaks of the world Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, and Mt. Lhotse. The family of peaks is famously called The Sleeping Buddha, the views of The Sleeping Buddha start from the first day of the trek.

The trek is a moderate level trek at an altitude of 11930 Ft. The trek starts from the base Manebhanjan (a town located at 7,054 Ft) and covers 44 km in 6 days and 5 nights. The Sandakphu trek passes through Singalila National Park, Singallia range, 600 varieties of orchids, rhododendrons, and magnolia flowering.
