The Jaisalmer Fort is situated at 250 feet high on Tricuta Hill. It is known to be one of the top forts of Jaisalmer city. There are four gateways Suraj Pol, Ganesh Pol, Hawa Pol and Bhoot Pol which are to be crossed to reach the fort. The fort has ninety nine bastions made out with crenellated sandstone. This fort also houses a number of royal apartments which are the Rang Mahal, the Juna Mahal, the Badal Mahal, the Moti Mahal and Zenana Mahal.

The twelfth and fifteenth century made Jain temples are located within the fort dedicated to Rishabdevji and Sambhavnathji. The oldest Jain temple has Lord Parshvanatha as the main deity.

The havelis of Jaisalmer are the some of the extraordinary creations with delicately carved architectures. The beautiful balconies of the havelis are built with honey-colored sandstone with intricate designs that look splendid to the observe eyes. The major havelis of Jaisalmer are Salim Singh ki Haveli, Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, Simla Haveli, Haveli Shreenath, Mehar Haveli. Patwon ki Haveli is the most elaborate and largest of all the Jaisalmer havelis. Haveli Shreenath is a 450 year old haveli and known to be the haveli of the Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. The beautiful Simla Haveli was built some 500 years ago and it has spacious rooms, alcoves and fine looking archways.

Folklore Museum

The Folklore Museum is the museum of folk culture of Jaisalmer. It is also known as Lok Sanskritik Sangrahalaya. The museum displays the rich heritage culture of this city of the bygone era.

Kailana Lake

One of the scenic and picturesque lakes of Jaisalmer is the Kailana Lake. Surrounded by a serene environment, this lake is visited by many people from far and near.
