Day 01: Arrive at Ahmedabad
Arrival at the Ahmedabad airport / railway station followed by check-in at the hotel. A half day sightseeing tour is arranged in the afternoon including visit to Utensils Museum, Jami Mosque, Gandhi Ashram, Calico museum and the highlight of the tour, Akshardham dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. Stay at the hotel, overnight.
Day 02: Ahmedabad
An early morning excursion to the Modhera Sun Temple and an en route visit to Patan. Stay at the hotel, overnight.
Set along the backdrop of River Pushpavati is the Modhera Sun temple, one of the architectural legacies of the Solanki rule. One of the interesting features lies in the shrines near the Ramakund dedicated to Lord Shiva performing 'tandav', Ganesh and Vishnu. There are 180 rectangular shrines dedicated to several Indian gods and demi-gods.
Day 03: Ahmadabad - Bhavnagar
Transfer to Bhavnagar by road and an en-route visit to the Lothal Harappan archaeological site. Check-in at hotel on arrival at Bhavnagar followed by shopping at the local bazaar. Stay at the hotel, overnight.
Day 04: Bhavnagar
Visit to Palitana temples in the morning. Stay at the hotel, overnight.
Considered among some of the most sacred Jain temples, the Palitana has around 865 temples which are carved in marble exquisitely. These temples situated on the Shatrunjaya hill date back to the 16th century. Formerly it was the capital of the princely state of the Gohil Rajput clan. of The temple of the first teerthankara, Shri Adishwar is considered as the most important temple. The beauty of the Palitana located at about 3500 steps from the town, is magnified when the sun starts setting.
Day 05: Bhavnagar - Sasangir
Transfer to the next destination, Sasangir. Check-in at the hotel followed by a day spent at leisure. Stay at the hotel, overnight.
Day 06: Sasangir
Visit to the home of the Asiatic Lions, the Gir sanctuary (remains closed from 15th June to 15th October). Stay at the hotel, overnight.
Other than Africa, the Sasangir is the only place where one can capture the beauty of the lions in their natural habitat. Some of the other animals and birds sharing the Gir with the lions are Chinkara, the Indian deer, Sambar, Chowsingha, hyena, Leopard, long tailed langoors and bears, sandgrouse, paradise flycatchers, nilgai and peacocks.
Day 07: Sasangir - Rajkot
After transfer to Rajkot, departure at airport / railway station.
