Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival in Haridwar
On arrival at Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Haridwar. After check-in and some rest, proceed to visit the sacred Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple in the afternoon.
In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, one of the most significant spiritual experiences on the banks of the holy Ganges. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Haridwar.

DAY 2
Haridwar to Barkot
After breakfast, drive to Barkot, a small hill town in the Uttarkashi district that serves as the base for reaching Yamunotri. The drive passes through the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas, with stops at Kempty Falls and Lakhamandal, an ancient archaeological site with a Shiva temple. Barkot is known for its quiet surroundings and clear views of the Bandarpunch peak. Check into your hotel for dinner and do an overnight stay at Barkot.

DAY 3
Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot
After an early breakfast, drive from Barkot to Jankichatti (approximately 45 km). From Jankichatti, begin the trek to the Yamunotri temple (approximately 6 km one way). Pony, palki, and porter services are available for those who prefer not to trek. On reaching Yamunotri, take a dip in Surya Kund (the natural hot water spring), offer prayers at the temple, and visit Divya Shila. The temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, features a black marble idol that sits at an altitude of approximately 3,293 metres. After darshan, trek back to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Barkot.

DAY 4
Barkot to Uttarkashi
After breakfast, check out from Barkot and drive to Uttarkashi, situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. On arrival, visit the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, where a massive iron trident is one of the main attractions. Uttarkashi also has other temples, including the Shakti Temple and the Ekadash Rudra Temple. Dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

DAY 5
Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi
After an early breakfast, drive to Gangotri. The route passes through the scenic town of Harsil, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, with views of dense deodar forests and snow-capped Himalayan peaks. At Gangotri (approximately 3,100 metres), visit the Gangotri Temple, which marks the spiritual origin of the River Ganga. Take a dip in the holy river and offer prayers. After darshan, drive back to Uttarkashi for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6
Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
After breakfast, drive from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi, a town in the Rudraprayag district that serves as the gateway to Kedarnath. The drive covers approximately 220 km and takes you through winding mountain roads with views of deep valleys and river confluences. On arrival, check in to your hotel. You may visit the Vishwanath Temple in Guptkashi, which is believed to have been built by the Pandavas. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Guptkashi.

DAY 7
Guptkashi to Kedarnath
After an early breakfast, drive from Guptkashi to Sonprayag and then to Gaurikund (the motorable road endpoint). From Gaurikund, begin the trek to Kedarnath temple (approximately 16 km one way). The trek passes through rugged Himalayan terrain, with rest points available along the route. Pony, palki, and porter services are available. Helicopter services also operate between Phata/Sirsi and Kedarnath for those who prefer not to trek (at additional cost, not included in the package). On reaching Kedarnath (approximately 3,583 metres), visit the Kedarnath temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Attend the evening aarti at the temple. Overnight stay near Kedarnath (GMVN government camp or available guesthouse).

DAY 8
Kedarnath to Guptkashi
After attending the morning aarti and completing darshan at Kedarnath temple, trek back from Kedarnath to Gaurikund. Drive from Gaurikund to Guptkashi. Rest and recover after the trek. Dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

DAY 9
Guptkashi to Badrinath
After breakfast, drive from Guptkashi to Badrinath (approximately 220 km). The route passes through Joshimath, a significant town that serves as the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. Along the way, you will cross through scenic stretches along the Alaknanda River and pass river confluences, including Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Vishnu Prayag. On arrival at Badrinath, check in to your hotel. In the evening, attend the aarti at Badrinath temple. Dinner and overnight stay at Badrinath.

DAY 10
Badrinath Darshan, Badrinath to Kirtinagar/Rudraprayag
After an early morning visit to the Badrinath temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, take a dip in Tapt Kund, the natural thermal spring near the temple. Visit Mana village, the last inhabited village before the Indo-Tibetan border, and see Vyas Gufa (where Ved Vyasa is believed to have composed the Mahabharata), Ganesh Gufa, and Bhim Pul (a natural rock bridge). After completing your darshan and sightseeing, drive from Badrinath to Kirtinagar or Rudraprayag. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 11
Kirtinagar/Rudraprayag to Rishikesh
After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, passing through Devprayag, the sacred confluence where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the Ganga. On arrival in Rishikesh, visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and the ashrams along the riverbank. You may also attend the evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Dinner and overnight stay at Rishikesh.

DAY 12
Rishikesh to Haridwar (Departure)
After breakfast, drive from Rishikesh to Haridwar. On arrival, you will be transferred to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport for your onward journey. Your Char Dham Yatra concludes here with divine blessings and memorable experiences.
