Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival in Madurai and Meenakshi Amman Evening Darshan
Arrive at Madurai airport or the junction railway station. Our driver, in Memorable India uniform, meets you with a name placard and transfers you to your hotel, deliberately booked within a 15 minute drive of the temple. After a short break, head to Meenakshi Amman Temple for the 6 pm sequence: the goddess procession, guided walkthrough of the fourteen gopurams, and the thousand pillar hall. Our guide walks you through the north tower entry, usually the shortest queue by 6:15 pm. Post darshan, stroll the Pudhu Mandapam bazaar and enjoy a vegetarian dinner. Overnight in Madurai.

DAY 2
Madurai to Rameshwaram, Ramanathaswamy Darshan and Dhanushkodi Drive
Early breakfast, then a 170 kilometre drive to Rameshwaram, about three and a half hours via the Pamban rail bridge. We schedule a short photo stop at the new Pamban vertical lift bridge viewpoint, which stayed in the headlines through 2025 as India’s first vertical lift sea bridge. Check in near the temple, then head for the 22 well ritual bath at Ramanathaswamy, guided by our temple contact who lines up wells in correct sequence to finish inside 90 minutes. After lunch, drive to Ghanthamathana Parvatham and Dhanushkodi. Sunset return. Overnight in Rameshwaram.

DAY 3
Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari via Tirunelveli
Early breakfast and a 315 kilometre drive down to Kanyakumari, roughly six and a half hours with a lunch break at Tirunelveli, famous for its halwa. Check in at the hotel, freshen up, and head straight to Sunset Point for the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean, at its most dramatic between 5:45 pm and 6:15 pm in winter. Evening walk along the Bhagavathy Amman temple lane and dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Kanyakumari.

DAY 4
Kanyakumari Sightseeing, Drive to Trivandrum
After breakfast, ferry across to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the adjacent 133 foot Thiruvalluvar statue on the second rock. Ferry timing is critical: we send you on the first slot so you finish before the queue triples by 10 am. Return, visit Gandhi Mandapam and Thiruvalluvar Museum, then drive 90 kilometres north west along NH66 to Trivandrum in about two and a half hours with a tender coconut halt at Marthandam. The landscape shifts from arid palmyra plains to Kerala’s coconut belt inside a 20 minute window. Overnight in Trivandrum.

DAY 5
Padmanabhaswamy Darshan, Kovalam Half Day, Departure
Early breakfast and Padmanabhaswamy Temple darshan, with our guide handling the strict dress code check, dhoti and angavastram for men, saree or half saree for women, and mobile storage briefing before the queue. Padmanabhaswamy remains one of the wealthiest temples in the world, with Chera and Dravidian influences in its architecture. Post darshan, a half day at Kovalam beach with lighthouse view and optional beachfront lunch. Travellers with later flights can add a Poovar backwater cruise. Drop off at Trivandrum airport or Central railway station.
