Kolkata to Ahmedabad, Sabarmati and Kankaria

The itinerary opens with a morning IndiGo or Air India flight from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International, landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International by early afternoon. Our representative meets the group at the arrival kerb and transfers to the hotel in the Ashram Road or SG Highway belt. After a late lunch, the first stop is Sabarmati Ashram on the west bank of the river, where Gandhi lived between 1917 and 1930. The Hriday Kunj cottage, the prayer ground, and the museum together take about ninety minutes at an unhurried pace. Evening is reserved for Kankaria Lake, the 15th-century Sultanate-era tank, with the toy train and the balloon safari as optional add-ons for families with children. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

Adalaj Stepwell, Akshardham, and the Old City Walk

The second day is a full Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar day. It opens with Adalaj Ni Vav, the five-storey stepwell commissioned by Queen Rudabai in 1499, roughly forty minutes north of the hotel. From Adalaj the drive continues to Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar for the temple complex and the water show, which we time for the afternoon slot to avoid mid-day queues. Post-lunch, the group returns to Ahmedabad for the UNESCO-listed Old City pol walk starting at Swaminarayan Temple, Kalupur, and moving through the wooden-facade houses to Manek Chowk. This is a walking segment of roughly two kilometres with a certified guide. Evening is free for Law Garden market or Manek Chowk street food. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad to Rajkot via Nadiad

Day three is a driving day, roughly two hundred and sixteen kilometres and four and a half hours on NH47 with a Nadiad breakfast halt at Santram Mandir. The vehicle continues via Bagodara to Rajkot, aiming for a late lunch check-in. Afternoon covers Kaba Gandhi No Delo, the childhood home of Mahatma Gandhi turned into a small museum on early Gandhi-era artefacts, and Watson Museum inside the Jubilee Garden for the Saurashtra history archive. Rajkot evening is centred on the chikki lanes and the Bhaktinagar cotton market street food row, useful for a light dinner before an early morning start. Overnight in Rajkot.

Rajkot to Sasan Gir via Gondal and Junagadh

The fourth day is a heritage plus wildlife-transition day. The drive opens at seven with a stop at Gondal, thirty-five kilometres out, for the Naulakha Palace and the vintage car collection maintained by the erstwhile Gondal royal family. From Gondal the road bends south-west through Junagadh, where the group makes a lunch halt and covers the Uparkot Fort and the Ashokan rock edicts if time allows. The final ninety-minute stretch reaches Sasan Gir by dusk. Check-in at a jungle-edge property. Evening safari orientation and permit briefing with the on-ground desk. Overnight in Sasan Gir.

Sasan Gir Safari and Transfer to Somnath

Day five opens at five thirty for the first-shift jungle safari at either the Sinh Sadan booked-zone route or the Devalia Safari Park interpretation zone, subject to slot allocation confirmed at the Forest Department the previous evening. The safari runs roughly three hours across dry deciduous track, with sightings of the Asiatic lion, chital, sambar, and the occasional leopard. Return to the property for a late breakfast and check-out. Drive to Somnath, roughly forty-three kilometres and one hour along the coast. Afternoon check-in and rest. Evening reserved for the Somnath Jyotirlinga darshan and the light and sound show at the temple precinct. Overnight in Somnath.

Somnath Aarti, Bhalka Tirth, and Drive to Diu

The sixth day starts with the morning aarti at Somnath followed by a visit to Bhalka Tirth, the spot where Krishna is believed to have left his earthly form, and Triveni Sangam. After a late breakfast, the drive to Diu covers around ninety kilometres and takes two and a half hours across the Una-Ghoghla bridge. Diu falls under Union Territory administration, so hotel and transport paperwork changes at the border checkpoint; the on-ground team handles this in advance. Afternoon covers Nagoa Beach, the INS Khukri memorial, and St Paul church. Evening free at Ghoghla Beach or the Diu Fort ramparts for sunset. Overnight in Diu.

Diu Fort, Naida Caves, and Drive to Dwarka

The seventh day opens with Diu Fort, built by the Portuguese in 1535, and the Naida Caves on the eastern outskirts of the town. Post-lunch the vehicle begins the long transfer to Dwarka, roughly four hundred and thirty kilometres and eight hours via Junagadh and Porbandar. This is the longest driving segment of the trip, and we schedule a Porbandar break for Kirti Mandir, the Gandhi birthplace museum, to break the drive into two manageable stretches. Late arrival at Dwarka and check-in. Overnight in Dwarka.

Dwarkadhish, Bet Dwarka, and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga

Day eight is the pilgrimage-anchor day. Morning aarti at the Dwarkadhish temple is followed by a boat crossing to Bet Dwarka, the residential seat of Krishna according to the Puranas, roughly thirty kilometres north-east of the main town. Return by mid-day and cover Nageshwar Jyotirlinga on the way back, which completes two of the twelve Jyotirlinga stops on this circuit (Somnath and Nageshwar). Afternoon visit to Rukmini Devi temple, two kilometres from Dwarkadhish, and Gomti Ghat. The drive to Jamnagar covers one hundred and thirty kilometres over two and a half hours for the overnight halt. Overnight in Jamnagar.

Jamnagar to Ahmedabad and Return Flight to Kolkata

The final day opens with the Ranmal Lake and Bala Hanuman temple in Jamnagar, where the continuous Ram naam chanting has been on since 1964, listed in the Guinness records. Post-breakfast the group drives to Ahmedabad, three hundred kilometres and roughly five and a half hours on NE1. A late lunch en route at Bagodara. Airport drop at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International for the evening or night flight back to Kolkata. Trip ends with return arrival at CCU.
