Chadar Trek - Frozen River Trek
The Frozen River Trek is generally recognized as the Chadar Trek. It is said to be one of the testing and exciting treks in Ladakh. During your trekking here, you can get through the ice-clogged river, mountain caves and frozen waterfalls. The trekkers will move across craggy rocks. Obviously, below minus 10 degrees temperature makes trekking a very challenging experience. The trekkers can experience a frozen ice trek during winter. You can trek over the marvelous zanskar river by way of the Frozen River Chadar Trek.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 01: Delhi - Leh (Complete Rest in Leh for acclimatization)
Take your flight for Leh in the morning. You can meet our executive when you reach Leh. He will take you to the guesthouse and you can take rest the whole day. Make sure to acclimatize with Leh. Have a relaxed and comfy night stay at guesthouse.
Day 02: Leh - Shey - Thiksey - Hemis
Today, we will go for a sightseeing tour. We will visit some earliest monasteries here. The travelers can visit Shey Gompa which is used to be the summer palace of Ladakh monarchs. It is situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Leh. Around the palace, you can find a lot of Stupas and Gompas. Deldan Namgyal enlightened Shey Palace. Shakyamuni Buddha Statue (12 meters high) is the major attraction of Shey.
You can explore Thiksey Gompa and it is placed at 17 kilometers from Leh. Thiksey Gompa is sited near to Shey. Thiksey Monastery is owned by Gelukspa Order which is one of the most remarkable monasteries in Ladakh. Then, you can visit Hemis Monastery. The monastery is one of the leading and most famed monasteries in Ladakh. Hemis Monastery was established in 17th century and it belongs to Drukpa Order. Then, we will go back to the guesthouse for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Leh - Chilling (5 Hrs drive)
Today, we will move to Chilling in the morning. There will be porters with us who are from Zanskar's Pishu Village. You can explore coppersmith workshops along the way. Dinner will be at guesthouse and have a peaceful overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Day 04: Chilling - Zaribago
On the 4th day, we will begin our Chadar Trip by walking on Frozen Zanskar River from Chilling to Zaribago. We need to trek approximately 5 hours to get to the finishing point. We will have our overnight stay at the camp.
Day 05: Zaribago - Deepyokma
Today, we have got to arrive at Deepyokma from Zaribago by walking on the frozen Zanskar River. We need just about 4 hours of walk to reach our destination. We will have a peaceful overnight stay at the camp.
Day 06: Deepyokma - Nyarakpulu
Today, we will arrive at Nyarakpulu below the Nyarak village from Deepyokma. We can reach the place by walking around 4 to 5 hours. We will have a calm overnight stay at the camp.
Day 07: Nyarakpulu - Lingshed
Today, we have got to leave Nyarakpulu. We need to make one hour walk to get to small village of Lingshed. You can enjoy the comfort and lovely ambiance of private house here.
Day 08: Lingshed
Today, you can take pleasure in the warmness of private room entire day at Lingshed. However, you can visit the close by monasteries. You can also meet friendly locales and monks. Then, you can have the night stay at the private room.
Day 09: Lingshed - Nyarakpulu
On the 9th day, we will make a walk around 5 hours from Lingshed to get to the camp at Nyarakpulu. You can stay overnight at the camp.
Day 10: Nyarakpulu - Tso Mopoaldar
Today, we will have a walk just about 5 hours from Nyarakpulu to the base camp at Tso Mopoaldar. You can have your overnight stay at the camp.
Day 11: Tso Mopoaldar - Tilatdo
Today also we will make a walk around 5 hours from Tso Mopoaldar to Tilatdo.
Day 12: Tilatdo - Chilling - Leh
Today, we will walk from Tilatdo to Chilling Village. At Chilling, we will get on to a jeep to get back to hotel in Leh. We will arrive at the hotel by evening. Overnight stay will be arranged in the hotel.
Day 13: Leh - Delhi
Today, you can go to the airport in the morning to catch your flight for Delhi.
