From golden sand dunes that dance to subtle tunes of the desert wind to the monument that personifies love itself, we take you on a splendid journey discovering the Golden Triangle of northern India. Covering Pushkar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Delhi and Agra, we take you to some of the most beautiful cities that are rich with culture, colour and heritage.
One of the main pilgrim destinations in the country, Pushkar and Ajmer are holy cities of two major communities in the country. Where one can get a whiff of the rural side of Rajasthan at Pushkar, at Ajmer you can enjoy the sight of the green Aravalli Hills that surround the city.
Filled with temples and bathing Ghats that are always buzzing with festivity and fairs, and some of the most famous mosques in the country both Pushkar and Ajmer give you a glimpse of the vibrant blend of colours, cultures and people in India. Pushkar is also one of the very few places in the world that has a temple dedicated to Lord Brahma. Whilethe sun drowns the cities in local bazaars, parades and other cultural events, the night brings along chimes from the temples and prayers from the mosques.
Our next destination is Jaipur, also known as the Pink city. Vibrant with tradition, history and opulence,one can bath in its rich heritage filled with beautiful fortresses, enchanting palaces and breath taking monuments. Famous for crafts and arts, take home some unique souvenirs that are not only custom made but are also priceless.
We move now to Agra, the city whose grounds have nurtured one of the most beautiful monuments in the world - the Taj Mahal and then to Delhi, the capital of the country.
Delhi, Ajmer, Pushkar, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi
Day 01: Delhi
We start the Golden Triangle trip from the capital of the country, Delhi, where you will be greeted at the airport by a Memorable India representative, after which you will be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay and day of leisure and rest.
Day 02: Delhi - Ajmer - Pushkar
We start our tour with a train journey to Ajmer and visit the famous tomb of the Muslim saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. After visiting the Dargah Shareef, we visit the Taragarh Fort and Adhai-din-ka-jhonpra, after which we head to Pushkar which is just 14 km away from Ajmer, for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Pushkar - Jaipur
Today we visit the only Brahma Temple in India along with other beautiful temples on the banks of the lake. After visiting some breath taking temples we head for the Pink city, Jaipur. Along with being the capital of Rajasthan, the city is one of the favourite destinations for tourists. We rest for the night in one of the finest hotels and prepare for the day in the Pink City.
Day 04: Jaipur
A fun filled day starting with the Amber fort, which is 11 kms away from the city. Here, we tour the fort Maharaja style, on an elephant! The afternoon is filled with a tour of the city which includes visit to places like the City Palace Museum, Hawa Mahal and the Jantar Mantar. After the long day we retire for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After roaming the culturally rich Jaipur we head to the see the Crowning Jewel of India - the Taj Mahal in Agra. We drive via Fatehpur Sikri and visit the enormous Jama Masjid and the tomb of Salim Chisti. After the long travel we retire for the night at the hotel in Agra.
Day 06: Agra - Delhi
We head to see the Taj Mahal, one of India's most prized possessions and a World Heritage Site. One look at this love sonnet in marble and you will immediately be captivated by the sheer beauty, elegance and the presence of this structure. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is the epitome of the love that the two shared.
Before leaving for Delhi we visit the Agra Fort that is close to the Taj Mahal, which is another World Heritage Site. After arriving in Delhi, we retire for the night at the hotel before setting off to see the capital of the country the next day.
Day 07: Delhi
Along with being the headquarters of the Indian democracy, the city is also home to some of the most stunning monuments and historical legacies of India. Delhi boasts of an array of sights which will be visited during the course of the day. We shall tour the Qutab Minar, India Gate, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat, Birla Mandir and Humayun's Tomb. The evening is reserved for a spectacular light and sound show at the Red Fort.
Day 08: Delhi
Our final day on the tour, arrangements will be made to drop you to the Delhi airport or railway station for your next journey.
