Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Bangalore to Paro (via Delhi or Kolkata)
Day 1: Bangalore to Paro (via Delhi or Kolkata)
Depart from Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bangalore on a morning domestic flight to Delhi or Kolkata. After connecting to an international flight, arrive at Paro International Airport, one of the most dramatically situated airports in the world, ringed by mountains on all sides. The Memorable India representative will meet you at Paro Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is free for acclimatisation. Take a short walk through Paro town, browse its small shops, and settle in for the night.

DAY 2
Paro Sightseeing and Tiger's Nest Trek
Day 2: Paro Sightseeing and Tiger’s Nest Trek
After breakfast, begin the trek to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery). The trail passes through blue pine and rhododendron forests, and a cafeteria midway offers tea and a rest point. The round-trip trek takes approximately five to six hours including time at the monastery. After descending, visit the Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) and the National Museum of Bhutan, which houses a collection of Bhutanese art, textiles, and historical artefacts.

DAY 3
Paro to Thimphu (approximately 65 km, 1.5 hours)
Day 3: Paro to Thimphu (approximately 65 km, 1.5 hours)
Drive from Paro to Thimphu after breakfast. Begin sightseeing with the Buddha Dordenma statue, a 51-metre gilded bronze statue overlooking the Thimphu valley. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a significant spiritual site where locals gather for prayer. Visit Tashichho Dzong, the main secretariat building and the seat of Bhutan’s government. If your visit falls on a weekend, the Thimphu handicraft market is worth a stop for locally made textiles, wooden masks, and incense.

DAY 4
Thimphu to Punakha (approximately 77 km, 2.5 hours via Dochula Pass)
Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha (approximately 77 km, 2.5 hours via Dochula Pass)
Depart for Punakha via the Dochula Pass. Stop at the pass to see the 108 chortens and, weather permitting, the Himalayan peaks in the distance. Continue to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong. If time allows, walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan at 160 metres, for views over the Po Chhu river. Return to Thimphu or Paro in the evening.
Overnight stay in Paro or Thimphu (depending on next day’s flight schedule).

DAY 5
Departure from Paro to Bangalore (via Delhi or Kolkata)
Day 5: Departure from Paro to Bangalore (via Delhi or Kolkata)
After an early breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your return flight. Connect through Delhi or Kolkata and arrive back in Bangalore by evening.
