DAY 1
Arrival in Delhi, Transfer to Haridwar
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi, Transfer to Haridwar
Arrive at Delhi Airport or Railway Station from Pune. Our representative will greet you and begin the road transfer to Haridwar. The drive passes through the plains of Uttar Pradesh before entering the foothills near Haridwar. On arrival, check in at your hotel. If time permits, attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in the evening. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
DAY 2
Haridwar to Barkot
Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot
After breakfast, depart for Barkot, the base camp for the Yamunotri trek. The road climbs steadily through the Mussoorie foothills and along the Yamuna river valley. En route, you may stop at Kempty Falls near Mussoorie for a short break. Arrive in Barkot by evening, check in, and rest for the next day’s trek. Overnight stay in Barkot.DAY 3
Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot
Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot
After an early breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the starting point of the Yamunotri trek. The 6 km uphill trek to Yamunotri Temple takes approximately 4 to 5 hours on foot. Pony, palki (palanquin), and porter services are available at additional cost for those who prefer not to trek. At the temple, offer prayers at the shrine dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and take a dip in the Surya Kund hot spring. Trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot. Overnight stay in Barkot.DAY 4
Barkot to Uttarkashi
Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi
Check out after breakfast and proceed to Uttarkashi, a major town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Uttarkashi serves as the base for the Gangotri visit. On arrival, visit the Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple if time allows. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.DAY 5
Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi
Start early and drive to Gangotri, the second dham, situated at the origin of the Bhagirathi River (which later becomes the Ganga). The drive passes through dramatic mountain scenery, including the Harsil Valley. At Gangotri Temple, perform puja and spend time at the riverbank. Return to Uttarkashi by evening. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.DAY 6
Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
This is a long but scenic drive through the heart of Garhwal. The road passes through several small towns, including Tilwara, Srinagar, and Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet. Arrive in Guptkashi by evening and rest ahead of the Kedarnath visit. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.DAY 7
Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Day 7: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Drive to Gaurikund (or Sonprayag, depending on road conditions) and begin the trek to Kedarnath. The 16 km uphill trek is the most demanding segment of the yatra, and most pilgrims take 6 to 8 hours to reach. Pony, palki, and helicopter services are available. Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, sits at an altitude of approximately 3,583 metres with the Kedar Range as its backdrop. Attend the evening aarti at the temple. Overnight stay near Kedarnath (camps or basic guesthouses).DAY 8
Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
After morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple, begin the trek back to Gaurikund. The downhill trek is considerably easier and takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. Drive back to Guptkashi. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.DAY 9
Guptkashi to Badrinath
Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath
Depart for Badrinath, the fourth and final dham. The route passes through Joshimath, the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. En route, you may stop briefly at Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag. On arrival at Badrinath, visit the Badrinath Temple for evening darshan. Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and sits between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund hot spring near the temple. Overnight stay in Badrinath.DAY 10
Badrinath to Rudraprayag
Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag
After morning prayers and darshan at Badrinath, explore Mana Village (the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, located just 3 km from the temple). Visit Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul, and the point where the Saraswati River disappears underground. After sightseeing, begin the return drive towards Rudraprayag. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
DAY 11
Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh
Day 11: Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh
Drive to Haridwar, stopping in Rishikesh to visit Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula. Spend some time exploring the ashrams and riverside ghats. Continue to Haridwar. Overnight stay in Haridwar.DAY 12
Haridwar to Delhi, Departure to Pune
Day 12: Haridwar to Delhi, Departure to Pune
After breakfast, drive back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to Delhi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey to Pune. The yatra concludes here with the blessings of all four dhams.
