Overview

Chittorgarh, India’s largest fort city and the land of warriors, is located in Rajasthan. The immense beauty and glory of this place are famous all over the world. Nestled in the heart of Rajasthan, Chittorgarh city is filled with the tales of the Maharajas, legendary queens, and architectural marvels.

Often called the capital of Mewar, this World Heritage Site, also known as the city of tales,is where the stories of pride, courage, sacrifice, and tragedy have flourished for centuries. Chittorgarh is situated at a distance of 118 kms from Udaipur. This glorious place includes various sites to explore in a day tour, from the forts, temples, palaces, and many more. In our one-day tour, we will explore all the locations at this solace. Chittorgarh Fort is an ornate structure, and the scenic views of this place offer a glimpse of the regal past through its big doors. It includes historic spots like the site where Rani Padamini performed the historic jauhar and where Raja Rawal Ratan Singh fought Alauddin Khilji.

After that, we will explore the Rani Padmini Palace of Chittorgarh Fort, a beautiful white palace with three-story architecture marvels. Then we will visit the Rana Kumbha Palace, the place where Rani Padmini, along with other women in the palace, performed the massive immolation ( Jauhar). The palace’s grand facade showcases its grandeur with features like elephant and horse stables, a Lord Shiva Temple, and remains of royal chambers.

At the end, we will visit the Kalika Mata Temple, which is a reconstructed temple. The temple of Lord Surya was situated at this site before 14 th century, but after the invasion of Alauddin Khilji, this place was destroyed, and the temple fell into ruins. The Solanki Dynasty reconstructed the temple and dedicated it to Goddess Kali. After taking the blessings, we will go for lunch, where you can explore the local markets and buy something for yourself. A variety of items are available, such as leather goods, silver jewelry, and jewelry crafted from camel bone. You can buy whatever you like, and then we will drop you off at your location, and the journey will end.
