Overview

The 12 Days Footsteps of Buddha tour package by Memorable India is one of the most exciting tours through India and Nepal, which is the path the Lord Buddha took and his teachings. This journey maps all important sites where Buddha was born, achieved enlightenment, and has been giving his teachings, and at the same time, it also brings about some of the most famous heritage sites of India. The tour begins from bustling Delhi to spiritual Varanasi on the holy bank of the river Ganga. It is the perfect blend of ages-old customs and modern-day adventures, offering peace and insight at every stop.

The history of Buddhist India and the life of Buddha will be first traced through Delhi, with lively markets, historic monuments, and the hustle and bustle of the city that brings the spirit of India to life. The tour then goes on by train to Agra, where the wonders of the Taj Mahal, the old Agra Fort, and the rustic beauty of Fatehpur Sikri are revealed. In Varanasi, you can get up at dawn and take a boat ride on the Ganges, go to the temples that are the most sacred, and take a very peaceful trip to Sarnath, one of the places where Buddha first taught. Bodhgaya, Patna, and the neighboring Nalanda and Rajgir are stops along this journey and are imprinted with the story of Buddha’s spiritual journey.

On the way to Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Kapilavastu, the travelers get the chance to learn about the past and tradition, and make meaningful connections. You will be viewing the temple complexes there, walking through the monasteries that are quiet, and watching the rituals that have been going on for centuries. Sravasti, Lucknow, and Delhi are the last stops of the tour, with the history of the past and the lovely views of the cities.

The 12 Days Footsteps of Buddha Tour Package is not designed only for those who follow Buddhism but also for those who wish to know and discover new things. It is with this tour that you will learn of and remember new things you could have never imagined in the world’s most sacred lands.
