Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
London to Delhi, arrival and rest
Your evening British Airways or Virgin flight from Heathrow lands at Indira Gandhi International Terminal 3 between 10:30 PM and 12:45 AM. Our representative meets you inside arrivals with a name card, hands over chilled water and a pre-booked SIM if requested, and drives you to your Aerocity or central Delhi hotel in twenty-five to forty minutes. Late check-in is prearranged, so no queuing beyond passport handover. Nothing is scheduled overnight. Breakfast is held open until 10:30 AM for London arrivals, and Day 2’s first activity begins no earlier than 11:30 AM.

DAY 2
Old and New Delhi contrasts
Your guide meets you at 11:30 AM. Old Delhi comes first: a cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk’s spice lanes, Jama Masjid from the outside, and the red sandstone Red Fort. Lunch is a North Indian thali at a hygiene-graded restaurant with heat levels marked. New Delhi shifts pace in the afternoon: Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, a Rashtrapati Bhavan drive-past, and Qutub Minar if daylight allows. Return to hotel by 6:30 PM. Optional Sound and Light show at Red Fort, or a quiet hotel dinner ahead of Day 3’s 6:30 AM breakfast call.

DAY 3
Delhi to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway and Sikandra
Checkout at 7:30 AM. The Yamuna Expressway to Agra takes three and a half to four hours, with a tea stop at a McDonald’s or Haldiram’s food court familiar to British travellers. Arrival by lunchtime. First stop is Sikandra, Emperor Akbar’s tomb, quieter than Agra’s main monuments and useful for scale before the Taj. Hotel check-in follows, with two hours to settle. Late afternoon covers Agra Fort’s Mughal private quarters, with the Taj visible across the Yamuna. Optional sunset at Mehtab Bagh. Dinner at the hotel or a rooftop restaurant with Taj views.

DAY 4
Taj Mahal at sunrise, Fatehpur Sikri, and the drive to Jaipur
Wake-up at 5:15 AM for the sunrise Taj visit; gates open around 6 AM in winter. Your guide uses the quieter western gate and allows two hours for photographs and the interior chamber. Cooked breakfast back at the hotel around 9 AM, checkout by 10:30. The 240 km drive to Jaipur includes a compulsory stop at Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s abandoned Mughal capital, where the guide explains the Sufi shrine and sandstone courtyards. Packed lunch or dhaba stop en route. Arrival in Jaipur by 5:30 PM. Evening free for Pink City bazaars or a spa treatment.

DAY 5
Jaipur, Amber Fort and City Palace
Breakfast at 8 AM, out by 9. Amber Fort comes first, before the heat and coach groups arrive. Your guide arranges an elephant ride up the ramp or a jeep alternative. Two hours covers the Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol and water gardens. Back to central Jaipur for Jal Mahal photos and a Rajasthani thali lunch with Jain-optional menus. Afternoon covers City Palace, Jantar Mantar’s astronomical instruments, and Hawa Mahal from across the road. Shopping stop at a government-approved emporium. Optional evening cultural show and dinner at Chokhi Dhani, popular with British families.

DAY 6
Jaipur to Delhi transfer
Breakfast and a slow morning, with an optional stop at Galta Ji, the monkey temple, for anyone keen on one final sight. Checkout by 11 AM. The 280 km drive back to Delhi runs roughly five hours via the National Highway, with a lunch break at the Neemrana midway food plaza. Some guests upgrade to a night at Neemrana Fort Palace, a converted fifteenth-century Rajput stronghold, priced separately and quick to book out on weekends. Arrival in Delhi by 5 PM. Direct airport transfer if flying tonight, or Aerocity hotel with evening shopping.

DAY 7
Delhi departure to London
Airport transfer is timed to your outbound flight. Most London-bound British Airways and Virgin Atlantic services leave Delhi between 1 PM and 3 PM, so a late morning checkout and lunch at the hotel or Aerocity works cleanly. Air India’s night service to Heathrow departs around 2 AM, extending check-in to a late evening drop-off. Your driver escorts you to the terminal, hands over your boarding pass envelope with prebooked online check-in, and waits until you clear entry security. Flight time to London is roughly nine hours, with in-flight Wi-Fi on most services.
