Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Mumbai arrival and connecting flight to Delhi
Your 7-day journey begins with arrival in Mumbai from Johannesburg or Cape Town, most commonly on Emirates, Qatar Airways, or Ethiopian Airlines routing. Our representative meets you inside Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport and assists with the connecting domestic flight to Delhi, typically a two-hour hop. On arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, check in to your Delhi hotel, freshen up, and rest through the afternoon. The evening is kept free for a light dinner at the hotel and jet-lag recovery. First-time visitors should avoid heavy meals or long outings on this day. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 2
Delhi city sightseeing
After breakfast, begin a full-day Delhi tour covering both Old and New Delhi. Morning visits include Jama Masjid, a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and a Red Fort photo stop. Post-lunch, drive through the diplomatic enclave to Qutub Minar, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Humayun’s Tomb. Return to hotel by early evening. Optional Dilli Haat visit for handicraft shopping or a Kingdom of Dreams cultural show can be added on request. Evenings are open for hotel dining or a light walk around Connaught Place. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 3
Delhi to Agra
Post-breakfast, drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway, roughly a 3.5-hour smooth drive with a mid-way coffee stop. Check in on arrival, freshen up, and visit Agra Fort in the afternoon, followed by Mehtab Bagh at sunset for the reflected Taj Mahal photograph across the Yamuna. Optional visit to Itmad-ud-Daulah, often called the Baby Taj, fits into the same afternoon slot. Return to hotel for dinner. The sunrise Taj Mahal visit is planned for the next morning to skip mid-day crowds and secure the best photographic light. Overnight in Agra.

DAY 4
Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
Early morning Taj Mahal visit at sunrise. Return to hotel for breakfast and check-out. Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital of Emperor Akbar, roughly a five-hour total journey with a 1.5-hour stop at Fatehpur Sikri. Visit Buland Darwaza, the palace complex, and the Jama Masjid with a licensed guide. Continue to Jaipur, arriving late afternoon. Check in at the hotel, rest, and step out for a Rajasthani thali dinner at a heritage restaurant. This day forms the operational heart of the delhi jaipur agra tour from south africa. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 5
Jaipur sightseeing
After breakfast, drive to Amber Fort. Ascend by jeep or elephant back, and explore the Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, and Diwan-i-Aam with a guide. Photo stop at Jal Mahal on the return drive. Post-lunch, visit City Palace with its museum and armoury, Jantar Mantar observatory, and a photo stop at Hawa Mahal. The evening is kept free for handicraft shopping at Bapu Bazaar or Johari Bazaar for gemstones and block-printed textiles. Optional Chokhi Dhani cultural village dinner can be added for an authentic Rajasthani folk experience with dance, food, and camel rides. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 6
Jaipur to Delhi, connecting flight to Mumbai
Post-breakfast, drive to Delhi via the Jaipur-Delhi Expressway, roughly five hours with a coffee stop. Arrive Delhi by afternoon and board the domestic flight back to Mumbai for onward international connection. Freshen up in the airport transit lounge if flight timing permits. Alternatively, direct international departures from Delhi can be arranged for Cape Town or Johannesburg on request, which removes the Mumbai transit for travellers on Air India or Emirates. Overnight in Mumbai near the international airport for the next morning’s departure.

Transfer to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for the return flight to Johannesburg or Cape Town. The tour ends here. Your delhi agra jaipur tour package from south africa booking closes with a feedback call from our specialist within 48 hours of your arrival back home.
