DAY 1
Surat to Vadodara to Ahmedabad by road.
A 7 am pickup from your Surat residence, NH48 north through Ankleshwar and Bharuch, breakfast halt near Karjan, and a Vadodara arrival by late morning. Dinner is a Gujarati thali at Agashiye or Vishalla, both of which need a same-day reservation the driver can call in. The Manek Chowk night-food walk runs post-10 pm for jalebi-fafda and butter pav bhaji. The old-city heritage walk through the Pol houses can be added on request for early risers who want a 7 am start out of Swaminarayan Temple.
