DAY 1
Pune to Chandigarh, Onward Drive to Shimla
Your journey opens with a morning flight from Pune to Chandigarh, roughly a 2.5 to 3 hour direct hop on IndiGo or Air India Express. Our driver meets you at the arrival gate with a name board and loads bags into an AC Sedan, Innova, or Tempo Traveller based on group size. From Chandigarh, it is a scenic 4-hour climb through Solan and Kandaghat to Shimla, elevation 2,200 meters. Check into your Standard, Deluxe, or Super Deluxe property near Mall Road, and the rest of the evening is yours for a slow walk on The Ridge or a coffee at Cafe Sol. Overnight in Shimla.
DAY 2
Shimla with Half-Day Kufri Excursion
After breakfast, drive 20 kilometers uphill to Kufri for a half-day excursion. In winter, this is your snow point with skiing, tobogganing, and yak rides. In summer and autumn, walk the Mahasu Peak trail for a panoramic view of the Pir Panjal range. Return to Shimla by early afternoon and spend the evening on Mall Road, Christ Church, and the Scandal Point stretch. Optional visits to Jakhu Temple and the Himachal State Museum can be added on request. Rohtang requires HP-registered local transport per state rules; our operator handles the vehicle switch and permit paperwork on the ground. Off-season, we swap this for the Atal Tunnel drive to Sissu, which stays open through winter and lets you touch snow without the altitude push. Snow activities, ponies, and photo points are direct-pay, not included in your booking. Return to Manali by evening. Overnight in Manali.
DAY 5
Manali Local Sightseeing
A relaxed local sightseeing day covering the 450-year-old Hadimba Devi Temple with its four-tiered pagoda roof, the Vashisht hot springs, and the Tibetan Monastery with its Thangka paintings and Buddha statues. Post-lunch is kept free for Old Manali cafe-hopping or a walk through the cedar woods behind Hadimba. Adventure add-ons like paragliding at Solang, river rafting on the Beas, or ATV rides can be arranged on direct payment. This is the softest day on the itinerary, designed for photography, journaling, or just a long lunch by the river. Overnight in Manali.
DAY 6
Manali to Chandigarh, Fly Back to Pune
=Breakfast and early checkout for the 8 to 9 hour drive back to Chandigarh airport. Depending on your evening flight timing, we can add a short stop at Kullu shawl markets or Sundernagar Lake on the return leg, or fold in a quick lunch at Sundernagar’s lakeside dhabas. Arrive Chandigarh by late afternoon, transfer to the airport with buffer time for security, and board your return flight to Pune.
