Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival in Delhi from Dublin or Cork
Your connecting flight lands at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Terminal 3. Our English-speaking representative meets you at arrivals with a name placard, hands over your India SIM, and drives you to your Aerocity or central Delhi hotel in an air-conditioned sedan. No sightseeing today—the afternoon is deliberately blank, letting you shower, sleep, and reset before the plains heat sets in. A light welcome dinner is arranged at the hotel, with day-two pickup confirmed by 8pm. Compressed arrival schedules are the top cause of first-timer exhaustion.

DAY 2
Delhi Old and New, Two Contrasting Halves
Breakfast at the hotel, then pickup at 9am for Old Delhi. Start at Jama Masjid, cross into Chandni Chowk by licensed cycle rickshaw, and visit Sis Ganj Sahib gurudwara where langar service is explained. Lunch is a street-food-safe stop at century-old Karim’s or Al Jawahar. The afternoon shifts to New Delhi: Humayun’s Tomb, a slow drive past India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Qutub Minar at sunset. Back by 7pm. Optional evening: Kingdom of Dreams or Indian Accent. Your government-licensed guide specialises in Mughal architecture.

DAY 3
Delhi to Agra by Expressway, Taj at Sunset
Checkout by 8am. The Yamuna Expressway drive to Agra runs about 3.5 hours in your private vehicle, with a coffee stop at a highway plaza. Check into your Agra hotel by lunchtime, rest two hours, then head to Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna for the Taj Mahal at sunset. This quiet-side view skips ticket queues and is ideal for photography, often more emotionally affecting than the main gate. Dinner features local petha sweets. A 5:15am wake-up is confirmed for tomorrow’s sunrise Taj entry.

DAY 4
Taj Mahal Sunrise, Agra Fort, Onwards to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
Sunrise entry at the Taj Mahal with pre-booked skip-queue tickets, two hours inside, then breakfast at the hotel. Agra Fort follows, focusing on the Mughal riverfront pavilions where Shah Jahan spent his final years under house arrest. Checkout, and the drive to Jaipur begins at 11am. Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s abandoned UNESCO-listed capital, is the midway lunch stop—roughly 90 minutes on foot with your guide. Arrive Jaipur by 6pm, check into your heritage haveli, evening free. Long but broken into three site-experiences rather than one exhausting drive.

DAY 5
Jaipur Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Bazaar Walk
Pickup at 8am for Amber Fort, using a jeep transfer up the ramp rather than the elephant ride, per our responsible-travel policy. Two hours inside covering the Sheesh Mahal and audience halls. Return by 11am for a Hawa Mahal photo stop, then City Palace with the royal costume museum and armoury. Lunch is a rooftop Rajasthani thali with mildly spiced options. Afternoon: Johari Bazaar for gemstones and block-printed textiles, or Jantar Mantar for astronomy. Optional block-printing workshop with a fifth-generation artisan family. Dinner at leisure.

DAY 6
Jaipur to Udaipur, Overnight Rail or Domestic Flight
Two routing options. Preferred: a 55-minute morning flight from Jaipur to Udaipur, freeing the afternoon at destination. Alternative: a scenic 7-hour Aravalli drive with a Pushkar or Ajmer lunch stop. Assuming you fly, arrival by noon, transfer to your lake-view hotel, lunch on the terrace overlooking Lake Pichola. Afternoon free for a swim or spa. Evening: a private Lake Pichola boat ride at golden hour, passing Jag Mandir island as the City Palace lights come on. Dinner at Ambrai on the ghat, palace illuminated across the water.

DAY 7
Udaipur City Palace, Bagore ki Haveli and Free Afternoon
Late breakfast, then City Palace complex at 10am with a curated walk covering Mor Chowk (peacock courtyard) and the crystal gallery. Optional add-on: a curator-led tour of the vintage car museum, standard on luxury variants. Lunch at leisure. Afternoon covers Bagore ki Haveli’s miniature painting collection and the Jagdish Temple courtyard. Evening features the Dharohar folk dance and puppet performance at 7pm, one hour, family-suitable. Late dinner. Customized variants can swap this for a Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur excursion; otherwise, packing time is factored in.

DAY 8
Departure from Udaipur via Delhi to Dublin, Cork or Shannon
Morning domestic flight from Udaipur to Delhi Terminal 3 for your international connection back to Ireland. Our team handles the terminal transfer at Delhi—T1 to T3 for Indigo, internal for Air India—and stays in phone contact until you clear security. Flights to Dublin, Cork, or Shannon typically route via Heathrow, Amsterdam, Doha, or Dubai, and we build in a 4-hour Delhi buffer. A goodbye pack with snacks and bottled water is provided. A WhatsApp check-in follows 48 hours after your Ireland landing.
