Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Bangalore to Nepalgunj via Delhi or Lucknow
Board the early morning flight from Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore to Delhi or Lucknow. Onward domestic hop to Nepalgunj on Buddha Air or Yeti Airlines the same afternoon. Arrival at Nepalgunj airport by evening. If arrival is delayed, the operations team switches you to Surkhet Sunny Resort (2 hour drive) based on the situation. Overnight at Siddhartha Hotel Nepalgunj or similar 4 star property.
Meal: Dinner at Nepalgunj hotel. Hotel: 4 star Siddhartha Hotel Nepalgunj or Surkhet Sunny Resort.

DAY 2
Nepalgunj to Simikot to Hilsa and Drive to Taklakot
05:15 AM transfer to Nepalgunj airport for the fixed-wing Simikot flight. Rest and hydrate for a few hours at Simikot. 09:00 AM helicopter transfer to Hilsa, waiting there for full-group assembly since the Tibet visa is issued as a single group document. 03:00 PM drive across the Sino-Nepal border to Taklakot in Tibet. Depending on the weather, the operations team may hold the overnight at Simikot or Taklakot.
Meal: Breakfast Nepalgunj or Simikot, Lunch Hilsa, Dinner Taklakot. Hotel: New Purang Hotel Taklakot or similar.

DAY 3
Taklakot Rest Day
Full day of acclimatisation at Taklakot for Bangalore travellers arriving from near-sea-level elevation. Short guided treks around the Purang valley are used to lift the body into the 3,930 metre range before the Mansarovar transfer. Hot fluids, breathing drills, and a light lunch schedule. Kannada or Hindi speaking group coordinators walk each yatri through the altitude protocol for the next 72 hours.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Hotel: New Purang Hotel with attached bathroom.

DAY 4
Drive to Mansarovar Lake and Puja
09:00 AM depart Taklakot for Mansarovar Lake, 90 km drive. The first darshan of Mount Kailash and the sacred lake opens after approximately three hours on the road. 01:00 PM holy bath at the Mansarovar ghat, priest-led puja, and a vehicle-assisted parikrama of the lake covering 110 km in about two hours. Overnight at the Mansarovar Lake Side Lodge.

DAY 5
Ashtapad, Yama Dwar, and Trek to Dirapuk
09:00 AM short drive to Ashtapad if the Chinese authorities open access on the day. 09:20 AM darshan at Ashtapad with the closest possible view of the north face of Mount Kailash. 10:00 AM onward to Tarboche, followed by a visit to Yama Dwar, the ceremonial gateway that marks the start of the Kailash Kora. 12 km trek to Dirapuk at 4,860 metres over 5 to 6 hours, ending with Charan Sparsha at the northern face. Non-trekkers stay back at Darchen or Mansarovar.
Meal: Breakfast at Mansarovar, Lunch and Dinner en route. Hotel: Mud house lodge en route or Mansarovar Lake Side Lodge.

DAY 6
Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass to Zuthulpuk
07:00 AM start for the toughest day of the yatra. Trek from Dirapuk up to Dolma La Pass at 5,630 metres, descend to Gaurikund, and follow the river bed to Zuthulpuk. Total 22 km trek over 7 to 8 hours. Bangalore travellers on this stretch benefit from the extra Taklakot acclimatisation buffer built into Day 3. Non-trekkers wait at Mansarovar or Darchen for the group to return.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Hotel: Zuthulpuk lodge.

DAY 7
Zuthulpuk to Darchen to Hilsa to Simikot
09:00 AM two-hour trek from Zuthulpuk down to Darchen where the group merges with non-trekkers. Onward drive to the Hilsa border, helicopter transfer back to Simikot via Taklakot on the same weather window that brought the group in. Overnight at Simikot guesthouse.

DAY 8
Simikot to Nepalgunj and Onward to Bangalore
09:00 AM fixed-wing flight from Simikot back to Nepalgunj. Onward domestic connection to Lucknow or Delhi, then an evening flight to Kempegowda International, Bangalore. The 8 day kailash mansarovar tour from bangalore ends on arrival at BLR.
