This 10-day private Kerala tour is your gateway to exploring one of India’s most lush and spiritually vibrant states. From the colonial lanes of Cochin to the serene heights of Munnar, the wilderness of Thekkady, the tranquil backwaters of Kumarakom and Alleppey, and the coastal calm of Kovalam to the southernmost marvel of Kanyakumari this Kerala tour packages for family brings you a complete and immersive experience of “God’s Own Country.

As the route dips southward, you will stand at the tip of India in Kanyakumari, where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean converge, a moment that feels like the Earth itself is folding into your palms. Finally, you will rest at the palm-fringed beaches of Kovalam, with its golden sands and gently crashing waves, a peaceful pause before your tour wraps up in Trivandrum, the capital city echoing with royal lineage and old-world charm.

Important notes for Kerala Tour Packages

    • Clothing: Carry light cotton clothes for the day, a light jacket for hill stations, and modest attire for temple visits. Footwear must be removed in many religious places
    • Connectivity: While Wi-Fi is available in most hotels, some remote areas (especially during houseboat stays) may have limited mobile coverage. You can consider it as a digital detox to your mind.
    • Transport: Road travel in Kerala is scenic but winding, for those prone to motion sickness should carry medication. Driving time between places may vary due to road conditions.
    • Wildlife tours: To increase chances of spotting animals at Periyar, early morning safaris are best. Flash photography and loud sounds are discouraged inside the sanctuary.
    • Ayurveda safety: Only choose Ayurvedic centres certified by the Kerala Tourism Department or NABH. Always inform the practitioner of allergies or medical history beforehand.
    • Local money: Many local markets are cash-based. Keep smaller denominations handy, especially in tribal markets, spice shops, and while tipping guides or boatmen.
    • Food safety: Eat freshly prepared meals; avoid raw salads from roadside stalls. Stick to bottled or filtered water. Coconut water is a safe and refreshing option.
    • Sun safety: Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat are essential — especially on houseboats, beaches, and spice plantations
    • Shopping tips: Buy from government emporiums or certified cooperatives for quality handicrafts like Aranmula mirrors, Nettur petti (wooden jewellery boxes), and authentic spices.
    • Emergency numbers: Save Kerala tourism helpline +91-471-2321132 and 112 for general emergencies. First-aid kits are available in all partner hotels.
    • Eco-conscious travel: Avoid single-use plastics; carry a reusable water bottle and cloth bag. Respect wildlife and do not litter in backwaters or forests

Best time to go for Kerala Tour Packages

Winter (October to March) is the most popular season for visiting Kerala. The weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing, cruising on houseboats, trekking through plantations, and relaxing at the beach. This period also coincides with major festivals like Thrissur Pooram and Christmas, offering a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Munnar, Thekkady, and Wayanad are especially enjoyable with clear skies and cool evenings.

Monsoon (June to September) transforms Kerala into a lush green wonderland. While heavy rains may affect beach visits and transport, this is considered the best time for Ayurvedic treatments, as the body’s pores are open and more receptive to herbal oils. For those who love solitude and misty views, the hills of Munnar and waterfalls of Athirapally are ethereal during this time.

Summer (April to May) brings warmer temperatures, especially in lowland areas like Alleppey and Kochi. However, hill stations like Munnar and Thekkady remain cooler and are a great escape from the heat. It is also a good time for budget travellers since accommodations are less expensive. If you enjoy photography, summer light is great for capturing landscapes, wildlife, and temple architecture.
