Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival in Delhi from Germany
The typical Lufthansa or Air India non-stop from Frankfurt or Munich lands at Indira Gandhi International around dawn, with Emirates and Qatar options via Dubai or Doha arriving slightly later. Our representative meets you at the arrivals concourse near Gate 5 with a name placard, hands over a physical itinerary and local SIM if pre-ordered, and drives you to your Delhi hotel. After a shower and daytime rest to reset from the 4.5-hour time shift, an easy afternoon orientation covers Connaught Place and India Gate. Dinner at a quiet North Indian restaurant eases the transition. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 2
Delhi to Jaipur via Old Delhi Highlights
A morning cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk sets the tone: dense, layered, immensely photographable. Stop at Jama Masjid, walk past the Khari Baoli spice market, and take a photo-stop outside Red Fort. Depart for Jaipur mid-morning on the expressway; the drive runs around 5.5 hours with a lunch break at a Rajasthani dhaba near Neemrana. Arrive by late afternoon, check into your heritage hotel in the Bani Park or Civil Lines area, and enjoy an evening at leisure. This hybrid Delhi-plus-Jaipur transition day feels more grounded than jumping straight onto a flight. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 3
Jaipur Heritage Full-Day Tour
Start at Amber Fort with a slow ascent by jeep rather than elephant, aligned with responsible-travel principles. A licensed heritage guide walks you through Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-e-Aam, and the Ganesh Pol gates. Photo-stop at Jal Mahal on the return, then a Rajasthani thali lunch at Chokhi Dhani or a boutique restaurant near Jayanti Market. Afternoon covers City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and a Hawa Mahal photo-stop from the coffee house across the road. Optional add-ons include a block-printing workshop in Sanganer or a gemstone-cutting demonstration. Evening light-and-sound show at Amber Fort is optional. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 4
Jaipur to Pushkar to Jodhpur
Depart Jaipur early for Pushkar, a three-hour drive through the Aravalli foothills. Visit the Brahma Temple and take a quiet walk around Pushkar Lake with your guide explaining the pilgrimage circuit. A vegetarian lunch at a rooftop cafe overlooking the ghats fits the town’s mood. Continue to Jodhpur, another 4.5-hour drive across the arid transition zone into Marwar. Arrive by early evening and check into a heritage haveli in the old city near Toorji Ka Jhalra. Rooftop dinner with a view of the illuminated Mehrangarh Fort closes the day. October-November departures can be re-timed to catch the Pushkar Camel Fair. Overnight in Jodhpur.

DAY 5
Jodhpur Sightseeing and Blue City Walk
Morning at Mehrangarh Fort, one of the most intact medieval fortifications in Asia. The audio guide inside is exceptionally well-produced and pairs well with your on-ground guide’s commentary. Visit Jaswant Thada marble cenotaph and the Umaid Bhawan Palace museum. Afternoon covers a guided walk through the blue-painted neighbourhoods with stops at Toorji Ka Jhalra stepwell, small temple courtyards, and craft workshops. Optional add-on: a Bishnoi village jeep safari covering rural life, wildlife, and traditional dhurrie weaving. Evening at leisure with dinner recommendations at Indique or a rooftop haveli restaurant. Overnight in Jodhpur.

DAY 6
Jodhpur to Jaisalmer Across the Thar
Depart Jodhpur after breakfast for the 5.5-hour drive west to Jaisalmer. The landscape shifts from scrub Marwar to open Thar Desert; the road is straight, quiet, and cinematic. Stop at Osian for a temple visit and lunch at a highway resort. Arrive by mid-afternoon and check into your hotel or heritage haveli inside or just outside the golden fort walls. A short orientation walk around Gadisar Lake at sunset introduces the city’s water heritage. This leg can be upgraded with a chartered Jodhpur-Jaisalmer flight or first-class rail for travellers who prefer to skip the driving day. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

DAY 7
Jaisalmer Fort, Havelis and Sam Dunes Desert Camp
Morning inside the living Sonar Qila fort with visits to Jain temples, Rani Mahal, and Patwon Ki Haveli. Lunch at a rooftop restaurant with sweeping views over the fort. Afternoon covers Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli, plus a short stop at Bada Bagh cenotaphs at golden hour. Drive 40 minutes to Sam dunes for a camel ride at sunset, Rajasthani folk music around a bonfire, a traditional Marwari dinner, and overnight in a fully equipped Swiss tent with private washroom. Travellers preferring a hotel base return to Jaisalmer city. Overnight at Sam Sand Dunes camp or Jaisalmer hotel.

DAY 8
Jaisalmer to Udaipur by Flight
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Jaisalmer airport for the connecting flight to Udaipur, usually routed via Delhi or Jaipur depending on schedules. This internal flight is included because it saves roughly 12 hours of driving and preserves energy for the Udaipur segment. Arrive by mid-afternoon, transfer to your lakeside hotel with rooms facing Lake Pichola. Evening boat ride on the lake with sunset over the City Palace and Jag Mandir is the standard closer to this day. Dinner at Ambrai Ghat restaurant with a view of the illuminated palace complex. Overnight in Udaipur.

DAY 9
Udaipur City Palace, Craft Workshops and Ranakpur Option
Morning tour of Udaipur City Palace with your guide covering the Mewar dynasty’s history, its resistance to Mughal expansion, and the palace’s remarkable water engineering. Visit Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari gardens, and the Bagore Ki Haveli museum. Lunch at a boutique restaurant in the old city. Afternoon options include a miniature-painting workshop, a visit to Shilpgram craft village, or a half-day excursion to the Jain temples at Ranakpur, about 2.5 hours from Udaipur. Kumbhalgarh Fort can be added on an extended 11-day version. Evening Dharohar cultural show at Bagore Ki Haveli is optional. Overnight in Udaipur.

DAY 10
Udaipur to Delhi and Departure to Germany
A relaxed morning at your hotel with breakfast on the lake terrace. Depending on your international flight timing, take an early-afternoon Udaipur to Delhi domestic connection, allowing at least four hours in Delhi for the transfer to Terminal 3 and check-in. Direct Lufthansa or Air India Delhi-Frankfurt evening departures are the smoothest routing back, with Munich and Düsseldorf onward connections available. Emirates via Dubai and Qatar Airways via Doha are reliable one-stop alternatives. A representative meets you at Delhi domestic arrivals and escorts you to the international terminal, since a missed connection can be genuinely expensive to rebook.
