Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival Bengaluru
Landings from Madrid and Barcelona typically route through Doha or Dubai and touch down at Kempegowda International Airport between 3 am and 8 am local time. Our driver meets the party at the international arrivals gate with a name placard and Innova Crysta or larger vehicle, depending on group size. Check-in at the Bengaluru city hotel opens from noon, and early access is arranged for early landings so travellers can shower, eat, and reset. Afternoons stay light: a slow walk through Cubbon Park, an unhurried filter coffee at MTR, and an early evening at Vidhana Soudha’s illuminated facade. Overnight in Bengaluru.

DAY 2
Bengaluru to Mysuru
After breakfast, the drive south to Mysuru covers roughly 150 kilometres on the four-lane Bengaluru to Mysuru expressway, with a mid-route halt at Ramanagara for coffee. Arrival by early afternoon at a heritage property near Sayyaji Rao Road. Post lunch, our guide walks the group through Amba Vilas Palace, the Wadiyar seat, whose Sunday and public holiday illumination lights nearly 100,000 bulbs across the facade. Devaraja Market follows for jasmine, sandalwood, and turmeric. Evening at Chamundi Hill for the Nandi monolith and sunset city view. Dinner at a Kannadiga thali kitchen. Overnight in Mysuru.

DAY 3
Mysuru to Ooty
An early departure carries the group through Bandipur and Mudumalai tiger reserves, a four-hour drive climbing from 700 to 2,240 metres above sea level. Wildlife sightings from the road include chital, gaur, and sometimes elephant herds, and guides carry binoculars. Arrival at Ooty by lunchtime. Afternoon walks through the Government Botanical Gardens, a colonial-era layout with Toda tribal huts and an Italianate lily pond. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train, a UNESCO heritage line, can be booked for the Coonoor segment on request. Evening tea tasting at a Doddabetta estate rounds off the day. Overnight in Ooty.

DAY 4
Ooty to Munnar
The drive from Ooty to Munnar covers about 260 kilometres and takes seven to eight hours through winding ghat roads via Coimbatore and Marayoor. Motion prone travellers should take pre-medication and plan an early breakfast. The route rewards patience: sandalwood forests in Marayoor, roadside dolmens dated to 3,000 years ago, and finally the first view of Munnar’s tea carpet at 1,600 metres. Arrival at hotel by early evening, followed by check-in with welcome tea. Munnar’s cardamom hills, cold nights, and eucalyptus air mark a distinct sensory shift from Ooty. Dinner at hotel restaurant, since local town closes early. Overnight in Munnar.

DAY 5
Munnar Full Day
A full day inside the tea country. Morning starts at Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake, both suitable for pedal boats and photo halts, followed by Echo Point where sound bounces cleanly across the reservoir. Kannan Devan Tea Museum offers a working demonstration of leaf plucking, withering, and CTC processing, ending with a graded tasting flight. Afternoon covers Eravikulam National Park’s shola grassland habitat, home to the endangered Nilgiri tahr and accessed only by park bus. Return via Rose Garden and a spice plantation walk that identifies cardamom, pepper, clove, and vanilla in cultivation. Dinner draws from Kerala’s high range kitchen. Overnight in Munnar.

DAY 6
Munnar to Thekkady
A post-breakfast drive of 110 kilometres, roughly four hours through cardamom belt roads, brings the group to Thekkady on the edge of Periyar Tiger Reserve. Check-in and lunch at a jungle facing resort. Afternoon boat cruise on Periyar Lake, a 90-minute ranger narrated ride that reliably surfaces sambar, wild boar, and grey langur, with an outside chance of elephant herds at the shoreline. Post-cruise, the group can attend a Kalaripayattu martial arts demonstration or a Kathakali make-up and performance session at Mudra Cultural Centre. Spice market walks at Kumily are a short cab ride away. Overnight in Thekkady.

DAY 7
Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat
A four-hour drive south from Thekkady reaches Alleppey’s houseboat jetty by mid-afternoon. Check-in aboard a private Kettuvallam, the traditional Kerala rice barge converted into a floating suite: two or three air-conditioned bedrooms, a covered deck, and a full crew of captain, chef, and steward. The route covers Vembanad Lake and connected canals, past Chinese fishing nets, coir village mooring points, and paddy fields sitting below water level. Lunch on board features karimeen pollichathu, appam, and toddy shop fish curry. Sunset is spent at a canalside mooring. Dinner is a full Kerala sadya on banana leaf. Overnight aboard.

DAY 8
Alleppey to Kochi Departure
Breakfast is served on deck at first light: puttu, kadala curry, papaya, and filter coffee. Disembark by 9 am at Alleppey jetty. The drive to Kochi International Airport covers 90 kilometres and takes roughly 2.5 hours. Time permitting, a Fort Kochi detour includes the Chinese fishing nets, Jew Town’s spice warehouses, and Santa Cruz Basilica’s Portuguese frescoes. Lunch at a Fort Kochi cafe before airport transfer. Departures to Madrid, Barcelona, or Valencia via Doha, Dubai, or Frankfurt run largely between 1 pm and 8 pm local time. Our coordinator confirms flight status and hands over a departure kit with SIM return, receipts, and lost-and-found log. Safe onward journey.
