Day 01: Kochi

The travelers can arrive at their own choice of time.

Southern India and East Coast by Rail adventure starts tonight. Relax and be ready for the adventure. You should ensure to be back in time and there will be a meeting with the entire group. Day 02: Kochi - Alleppey

Get into Ernad Express train and enjoy your travel to Alleppey. Explore backwaters in Kerala from Alleppey. The Kerala backwaters are a string of briny lagoons and lakes lying parallel to the Arabian Sea coast. You will get a chance to walk around the paddy fields. Day 05: Madurai

Today, you can visit the Meenakshi Temple and explore beautiful markets seen in Madurai.

Madurai is said to be a 2,500-year-old city. You can observe the massive stone walls, the nine striking gopurams that is enclosed with stucco figures of deities, fabled animals, and monsters. There are an expected 33,000 sculptures in the temple.

Getting around the city will help you to see some of the very old monuments and streets of Kolkata. Enjoy a boat ride across the Hooghly River. Don't forget or be late to join the group for dinner at a famous restaurant on Park Street.
