Stok Kangri Trek

The Stok Kangri Trek is a spectacular summit and perfect destination for trekking. It allows the trekkers to get on the steep hills, move across through sunny mornings to snowstorm and stride past twisty tracks. The Stok Kangri Trek is considered as one of the most testing and challenging treks in India. It's a high altitude trek and at 20,500 feet, Stok Kangri is the chief trek peak in India (6,153 m).

Ladakh is home to trekking and the Stok Kangri Trek is simply the best as well as most challenging trekking destinations in Ladakh. It offers a feeling of walking into a dreamland. The Stok Kangri Trek offers the view of very tall peak of K2. It also presents the sight of a few crystal crests and huge moraines unwinding the desolate valleys. During the Stok Kangri Trek, the trekkers will get 360 degree view of the Saser Kangri. The Stok Kangri Climb is ideal for both beginners and experienced trekkers.

The Stok Kangri Trek is one of the backbreaking and challenging treks in Ladakh. Hence, the travelers need serious adaptation prior to hit the tracks to Rumbak village. After moving across some mountains like Stok La at 4900 meters, the trail needs acclimatization at the Stok Kangri Base camp. You will get the acclimatization from Stok Kangri Base camp subsequent to camping and crossing Mankorma. The trekker will lead through some thin tracks and hazardous moraines. The trekkers may meet snowstorms. Snowstorms may cause to delay or interrupt trekking to Stok Kangri. However, the Stok Kangri Trek will present every trekker a new but treasured experience. Day 01: Delhi - Leh (3500 m): 1 Hr flight

Catch your flight from Delhi to Leh in the morning. Once you get to Ladakh, you can meet one of our representatives. He will take you to the hotel and check-in to the pre-booked hotel. Take rest and be acclimatized with the climate here. You can visit the local market of Leh in the evening. Then, have a relaxed and comfy overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 02: Leh

Today, the visitors will be getting more chance to get acquainted with the climate conditions in Ladakh. We have planned for a short trek today to practice ascending methods. Then, you can have an overnight stay in hotel.

Day 03: Leh - Zingchan (3900 m): 5/6 Hrs

On the 3rd day, we will drive to Spituk. Spites the near road access to Stok Kangri. Today, we will start our trek and we will have a walk for around four hours to reach Zingchan. We will make a camp for relaxed overnight at Zingchan.

Day 04: Zingchan - Stok La (4400 m): 6/7 Hrs.

Today, after breakfast, we will resume trekking to the bottom of Stok La from Zingchan. At Stok La, you can experience good climate because the nights are cold and days are somewhat warm here. Once we reach Stok La, you can relax and sleep at the camp.

Day 05: Stok La - Mankorma (4900 m): 5/6 Hrs

On the 5th day, we will proceed our trekking towards Mankorma. We will camp at Mankorma. The trekkers can catch the incredible view of Stok Kangri and the track to the mountain from the base camp.

Day 06: Mankorma - Base Camp (5000 m): 4/5 Hrs

Today, we will leave to the base camp. We have got to reach early to camp. Once we reach here we will use time for relaxing and taking rest. Then, we will go for a small climb from the base camp. We will climb 100 meters and then slide down again. We will make sure that we are getting ample time at night to prepare well for tomorrow's mountain challenge. We will have an overnight stay at the base camp.

Day 07: Base Camp - Stok Kangri (6150 m) - Base Camp (5000 m): 10 Hrs

On the 7th day of our trekking, we have got to start early to make the most of the best weather conditions. Today, we have planned to ascend to a ridge first. The ridge will steer us to a huge glacier. We have to cross it to get to the peak. The trekkers need to have better physical and mental strength to reach to the peak.

Day 08: Reserve Day for Summit

Eighth day of our trekking is a free day and you can spend time to see the sights of nature's prettiness at the peak.

Day 09: Base Camp - Stok village - Leh (3500 m): 8 Hrs

It is the day for us to move down to the Stok Village from the base camp. You will get the chance to witness the ruins of earliest forts. We need just about six hours to get to Stok Village. We will get on to the vehicles from Stok Village. We will move to Leh. Once we reach here, you can check-in to the hotel. Take rest and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Leh - Delhi

Today, we will move to airport to catch flight to Delhi from Leh.
