The Sonepur Festival is essentially a cattle festival which takes place when in November on a full moon night. The festival is celebrated on the banks of River Ganges making it even more beautiful.
The festival also hosts a famous circus every year apart for a cattle show. The celebration starts as many pilgrims start the day by taking a holy dip into the Ganga River.
