DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 01: Delhi

Reach the destination at any time. You can opt to visit the India Gate and Connaught Place in the evening.

There will be a group meeting in the afternoon and then, you can have a short orientation walk in Delhi. Visit Connaught Place by metro. Choose to walk to India Gate.

Delhi to Kathmandu Adventure starts tonight. Brace yourself to explore. Be back in time to meet the group. You will have an introduction session. Then, your Representative will give a brief you the details of the tour.

Explore and enjoy the beauty of India's capital city through a visit to Connaught Place by metro and a walk to India Gate. India Gate is built to commemorate Indian soldiers who sacrificed their life in World War I.

Day 02: Delhi - Pushkar

Today, take an orientation walk. Enjoy an afternoon camel ride.

We will find a room for accommodation. Then, you can go for an orientation walk around Pushkar. Walk around the lake, Ghats, and Brahama temple which was built in the 14th century. The travelers can choose to visit the markets, or enjoy a camel ride in the afternoon.

Day 03: Pushkar - Jaipur

Today, visit Savitri Temple in the morning and watch beautiful sunrise in Pushkar. Then, we will move to Jaipur. Take pleasure in an orientation walk as well.

On day three, we will climb to the hilltop Savitri temple early in the morning with the aim of watching the sunrise.

Orientation Walk Jaipur 1h-2h

Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan. Explore the markets of the Pink City. Take a Representative-led orientation walk through one of the central heritage cities in India.

Visit the City Palace and see the sights of the courtyards, gardens, and buildings. The palace is a conspicuous amalgamation of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. The travelers can see an exquisite museum inside palace and take a look at ancient carriages and the earlier maharaja's gold-embroidered wedding outfit exhibited in the museum.

Day 04: Jaipur

Visit the Amber Fort. Relax and enjoy some free time to travel around Jaipur.

In Jaipur, you can visit the Amber Fort along with your Representative. Visit the wonderful City Palace and the Hawa Mahal, or "Palace of the Winds".

Make use of your free time effectively as there are many things to do in Jaipur. Go to the near village of Sanganer and observe blue pottery, handmade paper and hand block printing. Travel around the Jantar Mantar, an observatory set up in the 1700's and know more about the history of the Mughals. Opt to taste a cocktail in any of the grandly renewed palaces.

Amber Fort Guided Tour Amber Fort. Explore outstanding Amber Fort that is renowned for its unique blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture and observe an artificial lake close to the fort.

Visit charismatic Sanganer village. The village is famous for its amazing blue pottery, handmade paper, and hand block printing.

Tourists can visit the Jantar Mantar observatory and know how people observed the stars and planets in ancient India. See the astronomical instruments displayed there and some of them date back to 1727.

Day 05: Jaipur - Agra

Day 06: Agra - Varanasi

Visit Agra Fort and Baby Taj. Catch an overnight train to Varanasi.

Choose to ride a cycle rickshaw during your free time. Visit the Baby Taj and Agra Fort.

Travelers can opt to visit the extraordinary Mughal fort which is made of red sandstone and white marble.

Baby Taj Visit Agra

Baby Taj is a mausoleum and it appears to be a jewel box. It was built prior to the Taj Mahal by Queen Nur Jahan for her father. By visiting the tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah, the visitors can know more about the elaborate details of the structure. Baby Taj is considered to be the first Mughal building built with white marble and where costly stones studded into marble was first used.

Day 07: Varanasi

Today, enjoy an orientation walk along Ghats and Varanasi. Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in India. Visit some of the many temples seen here. Take a boat cruise through the Ganges at sunrise or sunset.

Enjoy an orientation walk through the city. Sail through the sacred Ganges River. Take an evening boat ride and observe a candle flower ceremony.

Get pleasure from a boat ride on the sacred Ganges River. You will be able to see pilgrims who bathe in the River Ganges' holy waters and carry out funeral rites. Day 08: Varanasi - Lumbini

Reach the destination in time and visit Buddha's birthplace.

On the 9th day of our adventure, we will leave India and move to Nepal. There is a need to take long travel to reach Nepal. The estimated time of travel to get to the city of Lumbini is 12 hrs.

You will get a Nepalese visa at the border. You should have no less than one passport size photo and $25 USD. Remember that Nepal is 15 minutes ahead of India and therefore, set your watch accordingly.

The visitors can go for an orientation walk through Royal Chitwan National Park (RCNP) and it is one of the main tourist attractions in Nepal. It is the oldest national park in Nepal. The park was established in 1973 and it was labeled as a World Heritage Site in 1984. The park is packed with a range of plants and animals. You can view birds, crocodiles, rhinos, sloth bears, monkeys and a tiger if you are fortunate.

Tharu Community Experience Royal Chitwan National Park

Visitors can get to know more about the Tharu community. They are a local community from the Teral belt of Nepal and they live in eco-friendly homes. It's a good chance for the tourists to experience their unique culture via observing their dances, songs, and having a tasty traditional meal.

Day 10: Chitwan National Park

Enjoy a free day. Travel around the nearby village and rice paddies. Spend another night with the Tharu community. Take a jeep safari through Chitwan National Park.

Visitors will be introduced to the Tharu community. They are a local community of Nepal and they reside in eco-friendly homes. The travelers can become acquainted with their unique culture by observing their dances, songs, and having an appetizing traditional meal.

The travelers can visit this G Adventures-supported grassroots organization and understand how they are assisting to support reformed survivors of human-trafficking. The organization focuses on giving proper training to women coming out of trafficking to be proficient paralegals. The trained women will be helping other women who are coming out of abuse. G Adventures offers a hospitality program for these women to get back into a dignified work environment. We are about to enjoy the final day of our adventure. Today, you can explore Nepal's capital city Kathmandu.

Take a short orientation walk of the city once you arrive in Kathmandu. The travelers can see well-known Durbar Square, the King's Palace, the burning Ghats at Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath Stupa. Kathmandu is a gorgeous city alive with plenty of attractions at every turn. So, travel around the city and taste everything that the city presents before you.
