DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 01: Kolkata

The travelers can arrive at any time.

Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting

Our adventure starts tonight. Get ready to explore phenomenal India by rail. We advise every traveler to be back in time to meet the group. There will be an introduction session. Then, your representative will brief you about the tour.

Day 02: Kolkata - Jalpaiguri

Today, you can visit the Victoria Memorial, New Market and take pleasure in a boat ride on the Ganges. Get on an overnight New Jalpaiguri Kamrup Express train to New Jalpaiguri in the evening.

Victoria Memorial Visit Kolkata 250 INR per person

Travelers can visit the Victoria Memorial and it's a large marble building in Kolkata. It was built between 1906 and 1921. This Memorial is dedicated to Queen Victoria. The memorial has a lush green lawn in front of it and the gardens of the Victoria Memorial are impressive. The Victoria Memorial combines British and Mughal design, alongside elements of Venetian, Egyptian, Islamic, and other architecture.

New Market Visit Kolkata Free

New Market is a market in Kolkata located on Lindsay Street. Visiting the New Market area allows the visitors to learn about the history of the area. The New Market was built in the 1870s and it was the central retailers of the British epoch.

Day 03: Jalpaiguri - Kalimpong

Day 06: Gangtok - Darjeeling

Today, you can move to Darjeeling by a private van and enjoy an orientation walk of the town.

Day 07: Darjeeling

Today, you will be able to observe the sunrise at Tiger Hill, visit a tea estate and explore the Mahakal Temple. Enjoy a trip to the World Heritage-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway on a vintage steam engine train. Visit the Peace Pagoda and take part in cooking demonstration at a local, family-run restaurant.

Please note down that the cooking demonstration may be shifted to Varanasi at times in order to better suit the day's plan.

Tiger Hill Sunrise Visit Darjeeling 1h-2h

Travel to Tiger Hill to watch sunrise. The hill is renowned for its dazzling panoramic vista of Mt Everest and Mt Kangchenjunga. The hill will be suffused in pink light during the sunrise.

Tea Estate Visit Darjeeling 1h-2h

Visit and enjoy the exquisiteness of the Tukvar Tea Estate. It was first planted by the British in 1852. The estate stretches over an area of about 22 kilometers ranging from 1500 feet to 6500 feet in altitude. It produces the well-known Darjeeling tea, also recognized as the champagne of tea. Drink a cup of tea and enjoy its taste.

Mahakal Temple Visit Darjeeling

Visit the attractive Mahakal Temple which is located on top of a hill. It is a holy site for worshippers of God Shiva. The temple was previously the location of a Buddhist Monastery and now it's a main site for pilgrims. You can see the Hindu priests and Buddhist monks chanting prayers at the temple.

Toy train Darjeeling - Kurseong

Get on the train and take a seat in this gorgeous narrow-gauge train.

Peace Pagoda Visit Darjeeling1h-2h 6km

Visit the stunning Peace Pagoda. It's a Buddhist stupa built with direction from a Buddhist monk from Japan. Peace Pagoda is a monument to motivate peace and was intended to unite people of all races and beliefs to promote world peace.

Day 08: Darjeeling - Mughal Sarai

Today, you can move to Siliguri and catch an overnight sleeper train to Mughal Sarai.

Day 10: Varanasi

Today, you can make a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges. Enjoy some free time afternoon. Explore Sarnath and the city of Varanasi.

Day 12: Lucknow - Delhi

Today, you can explore the splendor of Lucknow. Get on the Swarna Shatabdi Express train to Delhi in the afternoon. Dinner will be provided on the train.
