DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL DELHI
Morning is free to rest and breakfast. In the afternoon our guide will pick you up for the exploration of one of the most occupied places of New Delhi and Old Delhi. Enjoying the cycle rikshaw ride, we will visit the traditional old markets of Delhi and Jama Masjid (the largest mosque in India). We will continue our visit to the wonderful Ashkardam temple situated on the banks of the Yamuna river. Then we will return to the hotel for the night meal and overnight stay.
DAY 2: DELHI-HARIDWAR-RISHIKESH
Wake up early in the morning to go to the railway station and catch a train to Haridwar. After arriving at the sacred land of Haridwar, we will begin our visit from the Mansha Devi temple, then we will walk through the local markets and the old Haridwar area. Finally, we will witness the grand aarti of holy river Ganga at Har Ki Paudi in the evening. Right from there we will find our shelter in the ashram in Rishikesh. We will get our free dinner and overnight stay in the ashram.
DAY 3: RISHIKESH-GUFA(CAVE)-ASHRAM-MEDITATION
After having breakfast we will start our excursion to the Vahista Gufa Caves to meet the holy person who lives here. There is free space for meditation and yoga (self-managed). We will return to Rishikesh and visit RamJhula(Ramanjula) and LaxmanJhula(Laxmanjula) with the evening aarti at Parmath Niketan ghat. Rishikesh is known as the World Centre for Yoga and Meditation and Learning of ancient Sanskrit language (the mother of many Oriental and Indo-European languages). We have our dinner and overnight stay in the ashram.
DAY 4: RISHIKESH-KUNJAPURI TREK
We will have our morning breakfast packed and will leave for the hilltop above Rishikesh in Kunjpuri to start our Kunjapuri Temple sunrise trek. At dawn, we will visit the temple that is nested on the top of the hill and surrounded by spectacular mountains all around. We'll have our breakfast there and then we will start trekking (carry shoes suitable for trekking) downhill through villages, lush green fields and forests, and attractive waterfalls. We will take a tea break at the Barkot Himalayan village and then return to the ashram. The rest time is for rest and leisure. Our free dinner and overnight stay will be all set in the ashram.
DAY 5: RISHIKESH-NEELKANTH TEMPLE
After having breakfast we will depart by booking a private cab to our destination to visit Neelkanth Temple. After visiting the Neelkanth temple, we will move further to the Parvati temple. We take a bus to Parvati temple and from there we will walk 5 kms to reach. In our way, we can see Jhilmil Cave and Gangesh Cave where Naga saints meditate. We will return to the bus and then back to Rishikesh. We will have a local dish with dinner at the local guest house. And will spend our night in the ashram.
DAY 6: RISHIKESH-HARIDWAR-DELHI
Wake up early in the morning to depart to Haridwar to catch a train to Delhi from Haridwar railway station. After arriving take private transport to the hotel or station/airport.
