Jabalpur, Bandhavgarh, Khajuraho, Gwalior
Day 01: Arrive Jabalpur
Arrive at Jabalpur and visit the Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat in the afternoon. Overnight hotel stay.
"Sankardhani" or Jabalpur derived its name from Rishi Jaballi. The city is located in the Mahakoshal region is famous for the Marble rocks at Bhedaghat which rise to about 100 feet flanking the Narmada River.
Day 02: Jabalpur - Bandhavgarh
Road trip to Bandhavgarh and spend the rest of the day leisurely. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Bandhavgarh
Enjoy the morning and evening in the company of majestic tigers, Indian Bison and other wildlife species in the Bandhavgarh National Park.
The city was well known as the game preserve of the Rewa Maharajas. One is sure to spot at least one tiger during a safari in the National park. It might be a rare sight in other national parks but it is not so in Bandhavgarh.
Day 04: Bandhavgarh - Khajuraho
Transfer by road to Khajuraho in the morning followed by an evening enjoying the light and sound shows at famous Khajuraho temples. Stay at hotel, overnight.
Day 05: Khajuraho
In the morning a visit to the World famous temples in Khajuraho followed a visit to Rahne waterfalls in the evening. Overnight hotel stay.
Khajuraho, the capital of the Chandela Kings is famous for its temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and also the Jain Tirthankaras. The city oozing with passion, dance, eroticism, music, and fine arts depicted sculptures at the temples attracts lots of tourists. The city initially had 85 Nagara style temples out of which only 20 could survive the rough weather.
Day 06: Khajuraho - Gwalior
Early morning drive to the next destination - Gwalior followed by check-in at the hotel and a day spent at leisure. An en-route visit to Datia. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Datia is well known for the Gopeshwar Temple, Orcha - the most powerful 16th century kingdoms in Central India and the 7 storied Raja Bir Singh Deo palace.
Day 07: Gwalior
Sightseeing tour of Gwalior in the morning including visits to Gwalior fort, Jai Vilas Palace and museum. Spend rest of the day leisurely for shopping and individual activities. Overnight hotel stay.
The city is named after its founder, a hermit-saint named Gwalipa who saved a chieftain suffering from a deadly disease. A citadel crowning an isolated rock 91m high is the nucleus of the city. The city is famous for its rock temples, white sandstone mosques and palaces.
Day 08: Departure
Departure from Gwalior after transfer to the airport / railway.
